Soft Gold Studio
Introduction
Soft Gold Studio is a new ceramics and painting studio in Richmond, built on the idea that creativity is for everyone. It runs beginner-friendly classes for the public alongside programs for disability support participants, carers and support workers, all in a calm, sensory-aware space. The identity had to carry emotional weight without feeling heavy.

Process and outcome
The founder arrived with the name, a set of references and a clear sense of who the brand needed to speak to, particularly the carers and support workers making decisions about programs. The brand needed to reassure them, while still feeling creative and inviting to anyone walking through the door.
Hand-drawn elements, organic shapes and textured details give the brand a handmade warmth that mirrors the tactile nature of the studio. Illustration does much of the work: I created a wide library of drawings used throughout the brand, alongside a playful logo suite, colour palette and typography, all set out in brand guidelines.
The identity is shown here with one of the wordmarks from the logo suite I developed; the studio launched with another from the same suite. The illustration library and wider brand system are now live and in use, including across the studio's website.
